Dodge Avenger 2008 R/T FWD Black

Dmitry Abramov, August 24, 2007. Photo DRIVE.RU This is the fourth Dodge to enter the Russian market. Will the Avenger be able to win it? When I was little, every morning on the way to school I passed the parking lot and, as usual, “scanned” the cars standing there. It was in the early 1990s, and the inhabitants of the parking lot were mostly ugly products of the domestic car industry and well-worn "Germans" like the Opel Rekord or Audi 100. But one day he appeared in the parking lot. Very large, classically black on the outside and incredibly red on the inside. Ford Taurus. From that moment on, all the surrounding guys almost every day came running to see this miracle and for a long time they believed that an American car is really cool. Since then, the world has changed dramatically, and now overseas manufacturers themselves come to us, offering cars specially designed for Europe. Dodge has recently joined this squad. We must pay tribute to this Chrysler brand - it behaves not only actively, but even aggressively. It seems that the Russian premiere of Dodge Avenger 2008 R/T FWD Black  the expressive crossover Nitro took place quite recently. And now Dodge has set out to push the competitors in the D class and is introducing the Avenger sedan, that is, the "Avenger" in our opinion. Frankly speaking, even without him it was a bit crowded there - the competition is fierce. Who, for what and how will Avenger take revenge? And will he succeed? We'll find out now. At the back, the Avenger is a smaller copy of the Charger sedan. The company itself is positioning the "Avenger" as a daring, aggressive car for energetic young people aged 25 to 40, who are not averse to standing out from the crowd. At the same time, it is presented with an extremely reasonable purchase, because for quite reasonable money the buyer gets a car in a very decent configuration. Add to that the latest engines and the latest in safety and you have a very tempting offer. The offer seems even more tempting when you see the Avenger live. Damn, devil, hell good! Rough, uncouth, primal beauty just sticks out of him. At the same time, epithets like "handsome" or "cutie" are completely inappropriate here. The Avenger's appearance is sheer aggression. Or almost absolute. The rough and uncouth appearance of the Avenger leaves no doubt - this is an American car. The signature cross on the radiator grille, large headlights as if carved with an ax, huge protruding wheel arches and a completely unimaginable shape of the rear wing in the style of muscle cars of the 60s of the last century will not go unnoticed. Yes, the designers did their best. As a result, the car looks very solid and, perhaps most importantly, is unlike anyone else. So it’s no surprise that he is getting a lot of attention on the streets. The appearance is in order. And what about the inside? Technically, the Avenger is the same as the Chrysler Sebring we've driven before. The Avenger has the same platform, the same engines, and even the suspension settings are exactly the same. The difference is in the body and interior. I remember that many cars related to Chrysler were criticized for low-quality interior materials. Maybe the creators of Avenger will listen to criticism, since they want to compete in the D segment? After all, there is nowhere without a comfortable interior. I sit down and ... So, how much does this car cost? Ah, almost 33 thousand dollars! Hmm ... It seems to me that either Dodge employees do not read the press in principle, or they do not care about any criticism, and they consider their approach to be the only correct one. The frankly cheap plastic is still here, and its dull, cold gray color creates a deadly melancholy. Not fun, let's face it. Plenty of room and good fit. But the "naked" trunk lid on the car for that kind of money looks strange. But on this the claims to the salon were exhausted. Ergonomics also has blunders. For example, a poorly tuned deflector adjustment is very inconvenient and distracting from the road, the seats are indistinct, the landing is not ideal. But once again pleased with the instrument cluster, standard "music" and the climate control unit. Everything is simple and very clear. There are also nice little things. For example, in the front panel above the glove compartment there is a separate refrigerated container for drinks. And as an option, the manufacturer offers seat upholstery with YES Essentials fabric, which does not fade, does not absorb dirt and odors, and, moreov https://cars45.com.gh/isozd2BWZgGelZn2gheO4oGl
