The Apple TV 4K box and its contents are not much different from the previous (fourth) generation model. Except that the 4K symbols in the title have become colored, rainbow. And, of course, the remote control image has changed to the actual one. Inside we see the device itself, a network cable, user manuals, a proprietary remote control and a Lightning cable. The Lightning cable is needed for recharging the remote control and for nothing else (although, of course, if you use any Apple mobile devices, it will be completely useful). Surprisingly, Apple still puts regular USB-A instead of the more current USB-C. This means that you will not be able to charge the remote from the iPad or MacBook power supply. As before, there is no HDMI cable included. However, if you own a 4K TV, then most likely you also have an HDMI 1.4 cable. The appearance of the console has not changed compared to the previous generation. It's still a hefty, thick black block with rounded edges and a rubberized bottom that has slots for active cooling. There is no particular difference in materials: as before, plastic is used for the main body of the case. The set of connectors (all - at the back) remained the same: gigabit Ethernet, HDMI (now in version 2.1) and a connector for a power cord. It's a shame to have removed the optical digital audio output that was in the 2012 model but then disappeared. For owners of receivers, it was very relevant. Although, of course, most are quite satisfied with the sound that is output using the TV and transmitted via HDMI, like the image. As already noted, the main changes were made to the remote control. It is now thicker, silver, all-metal (except for the buttons and a small area at the top, which is necessary for a smooth signal flow). But the main thing is that there are significantly more buttons, and their arrangement has changed. The Menu button has disappeared, instead of it there is now "Back", the mute button has moved down, and "Search" (with an icon in the form of a microphone) settled on the right edge. In addition, a touch zone with a joystick (left-right-up-down) and a shutdown button appeared. Previously, Apple TV couldn't just be turned off - you had to unplug it or be content with sleep mode.
