Mechanical gaming keyboards, as a rule, turn out to be much more expensive than conventional membrane keyboards, even "fancy" ones - but there are exceptions. AULA Fireshock V5 is a good example of budget “mechanics”, which also has an unusual design and bright lighting.
Gaming keyboard AULA Fireshock V5 comes in a cardboard box with high-quality printing. The package includes the keyboard itself, a removable wrist rest, documentation and a special holder for removing the keys (there are no replaceable caps, however, in the box).
The keyboard is full-sized, with an additional digital block, while the case is as compact as possible and practically does not go beyond the keys (dimensions - 47.5x16.3 cm). The upper part of the case is covered with a thin steel-colored metal plate - by the way, it reflects the key illumination well, much better than the more traditional black plastic. The case lends itself a little to twisting, bu Keyboards in Ethiopia t it immediately straightens back, no creaks or backlashes are observed, so the assembly can be called very high-quality.
The body has a minimum slope, if it is not enough, the legs can be extended. When folded, the height of the keyboard is 33 mm, in the raised version - 47 mm. It is noteworthy that the legs are also well rubberized, so that the keyboard does not slide on the table, no matter what angle you prefer. The wrist rest has a pleasant-to-touch coating and magnetically attaches to the keyboard. The USB cable is non-detachable, 1.6 m long, in a dense fabric braid, connects to the keyboard closer to the right edge.
The caps of the Fireshock V5 have an original design, with an impressive chrome "edging" on the top - in this form, they somewhat resemble the keys of classic typewriters. Note that the manufacturer also has a V2 model, which is completely identical to this one, with the exception of just the keys - the V2 has a traditional look.
The key layout is standard American, with single row Enter and long left Shift. Unfortunately, only Latin characters are highlighted, the Cyrillic alphabet is painted and the backlight does not penetrate through it. Note also that despite the riot of colors, this backlight is not RGB - the colors are fixed, and you cannot change them (for example, WASD is purple, the rest of the character keys are turquoise, the additional number pad is a mixture of yellow and orange, etc.) ). The user can only switch the style - static glow of all keys / only game keys, dynamic "play" like waves, breathing, etc.
In the upper right corner there is a massive wheel and three M-keys to the left of it - these controls have two modes of operation, in one they switch lighting styles, in the other they control the volume and the player (the modes are switched by holding the button for three seconds in the center of the wheel).
The AULA Fireshock V5 uses custom KRGB blue switches, essentially the same Outemu Blue. They are distinguished by a very soft stroke with a slight punching and a distinct click at this moment - due to which fast typing on this keyboard is aurally reminiscent of the use of a classic typewriter. The travel is quite large - 2 mm before actuation, 4 mm until it stops (so that pressing is fixed in the middle of the key travel). The force is standard, 50 g, the manufacturer promises a durability of 50 million clicks. The caps are made of double molded ABS plastic.
Subjectively, the wrist rest turns out to be more useful when the keyboard lies flat on the table - when the legs are extended, the level of the keys turns out to be noticeably higher, and in this case the wrists still hang in the air. If the legs are removed, the stand supports the hands well, while its coating does not sweat and, in general, turns out to be very comfortable during prolonged use.
In gaming sessions, the stroke before triggering of 2 mm is noticeable - the reaction to the player's actions is quite fast, but not a record one. For fast typing, AULA Fireshock V5 turns out to be very convenient, the keystroke is informative, when typing quickly, the actuation is felt very well - however, it should be borne in mind that the switches are quite noisy, and active work with such a keyboard can interfere with others.
In terms of the number of simultaneously pressed keys, AULA Fireshock V5 supports two modes - 6KRO (up to 6 simultaneous keystrokes) and NKRO (unlimited), which are en
