Power in 17 inches. Asus was one of the first to update its laptops to the new NVIDIA RTX graphics cards. The GL704, one of the smallest 17-inch notebooks on the market, has received an improvement. Let's take a look at the superiority of the RTX 2070 and how its appearance affected the cooling.
The ASUS ROG Strix Scar II GL704GW will look very familiar to anyone who has already held or read our GL704GM review. The cases of these models are the same, the only difference is in the video card: instead of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, we now have a GeForce RTX 2070. Asus was one of the first to update their laptops to the latest RTX series video cards, the 2070 should provide a very significant increase in graphics power relative to its predecessor. All the rest of the filling, along with the Intel Core i7-8750H processor, remained the same, so we are interested in how the standard cooling system will cope with a more efficient video card.
The notebook in a test configuration sells for 2,100 euros, and we will compare it with 17-inch models with a similar price tag.
